LHS Performing Arts Booster is the sponsor every Wednesday at Longmont Bingo Alley, 640 19th Ave. Adults and students are always needed to work these sessions. All new bingo trainees start out as workers which consists of pull-tab sales, specials sales, confirming bingos with caller, and cleaning tables as needed. It’s a fun, smoke-free, alcohol-free, and safe environment for you and your child!
If you are new to bingo, please contact the bingo scheduler at bingo@lhs-performs.org. Worker positions receive on-the-job training and are great for students. For some positions like banker, door attendant, and caller, you must be trained.
If you sign up for a bingo session and are unable to make it, please try to find a replacement volunteer and let Marnie know as soon as possible.
Bingo is the single largest fundraiser supporting LHS Performing Arts Boosters. Bingo funds support students with the following activities:
- Student Trip Fund
- “Goal” Fund
- Scholarship Fund
Trips are an important part of a well-rounded music education experience. Band, Orchestra, and Winter Drumline plan music related trips at least every two school years. The three Audition Choirs both travel to music competitions and workshops at least once each school year.
Goal Fund is an account funded from bingo revenues and set aside from routine performing arts department operating expenses. Goal Funds are reserved for the purchase of equipment or services that benefit the entire department. Goal Fund was most recently used to purchase wireless audio and sound equipment as well as a number of instruments for Band and Orchestra.
